Port and Logistics Business Solutions (PLBS) is a Division within the STX Group which aims to harness the competencies and experience of STX Group team members and associated experts so that clients are provided with effective and innovative solutions for port and logistics related activities.

Our clients range from “blue chip” corporates to government and semi-government bodies. Recent and ongoing assignments include:

• Optimisation of supply line requirements for an Australian client involved in the energy sector;
• Identification of all potential logistics options (124 identified by STX) and the selection of the most appropriate for the long-term operations of a proposed mine in Mozambique.
• Review and provide recommendations for consolidation and expediting points within Australia and world-wide for a mine related operation;
• Turnkey advice and consultancy for a new port in south-eastern Madagascar including port design, tug identification and selection, ISPS requirements, VTS, key personnel definition and search, security, navigational aids and an ongoing role in marketing and development of the port;
• Advice to an Australian State Government in relation to the privatisation of a port and related airport asset.
